ChatBlue — Privacy Policy / Gizlilik Politikası

The short version: ChatBlue is an offline, device-to-device messaging app. It has no accounts, no servers and no analytics. We do not collect, store or share your personal data. Messages travel directly between the devices you connect, and everything stays on those devices.

1. Who we are

ChatBlue (“the app”, “we”) is a free Android application for offline peer-to-peer communication over Bluetooth Classic, Wi‑Fi Direct and Nearby Connections. It is developed by an independent developer. This policy explains how the app handles information on your devices. Contact: eventizer.official@gmail.com.

2. The information the app handles

Everything the app stores lives on your device and nowhere else:

Chat content — text messages, images, voice recordings, files and any location you choose to share: stored locally by the app and delivered only to the device you are chatting with.
Chat history and settings — conversations, nicknames, your device display name, theme and language settings, kept in a local database on your device.

There is no ChatBlue account, no sign-up and no cloud. Nothing is uploaded to us or to any third party. When two devices connect, their chat histories synchronise directly with each other so both sides stay up to date.

3. How your information travels (peer-to-peer)

When you send something, it goes directly from your device to the other device over a local radio link — Bluetooth Classic, Wi‑Fi Direct or Nearby Connections. It is never routed through a server, and we never see or store it. As with any messaging app, the person on the other device can see and keep what you send them — only connect with people you trust.

4. Permissions and why we ask for them

Nearby devices — Bluetooth / Wi‑Fi (BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, BLUETOOTH_ADVERTISE, BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, CHANGE_WIFI_STATE): to discover nearby devices, advertise your device to them, and open the direct radio links the app works over.
Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Android requires a location permission for apps that scan for nearby Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi devices; it is used only for device discovery. The app does not track your location, and a location is shared only if you explicitly attach one to a message.
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): only while you are recording a voice message. The recording stays on your device unless you send it.
Photos and files (storage permissions only on older Android versions — recent versions need none for picking or saving): to let you pick an image or file to send, and to save what you receive.
Network (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): used only to open direct device-to-device sockets on the local network (Wi‑Fi Direct); the app runs no servers and does not transmit your content over the internet.

The app does not use the camera, contacts, calendar or phone data.

5. Files you receive

Images and files you receive are stored in the app’s private storage on your device and can be opened from the chat. You can save a copy of an image to your device’s gallery, and received APK files are saved to the public Downloads folder so you can install them with the system file manager. Files you save to shared locations (gallery, Downloads) remain on your device until you delete them — even if you uninstall the app. Everything inside the app’s private storage is removed when you uninstall.

6. What we never do

No data collection — we operate no servers and receive nothing from the app.
No analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking of any kind.
No sale or sharing of personal data — we hold none to share.

One connection method, Nearby Connections, is provided by Google Play services, which runs on your device; the app itself sends nothing to Google.

7. Retention and deleting your data

You are in control: delete individual conversations inside the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything it stored (chat history, settings, files in its private storage). Because nothing ever reaches us, there is no server copy to delete and no deletion request to make.

8. Security

Your messages travel directly between the connected devices and never pass through a server. Keep your device secure, connect only to devices you trust, and remember that anything you send is readable by the receiving device’s owner.

9. Children

ChatBlue is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no data at all, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version is always available at this address with the “last updated” date above; notable changes will be mentioned in the app’s release notes.

5. Aldığınız dosyalar

Aldığınız görseller ve dosyalar cihazınızda uygulamanın özel depolama alanında tutulur ve sohbetten açılabilir. Bir görselin kopyasını galerinize kaydedebilirsiniz; aldığınız APK dosyaları ise sistem dosya yöneticisiyle kurabilmeniz için ortak İndirilenler klasörüne kaydedilir. Ortak konumlara (galeri, İndirilenler) kaydettiğiniz dosyalar, uygulamayı kaldırsanız bile siz silene kadar cihazda kalır. Uygulamanın özel depolama alanındaki her şey, uygulama kaldırıldığında silinir.

6. Asla yapmadıklarımız

Veri toplama yok — sunucu işletmiyoruz ve uygulamadan bize hiçbir şey ulaşmaz.
Analitik, çökme raporlama, reklam veya herhangi bir izleme yok.
Kişisel verilerin satışı veya paylaşımı yok — paylaşacak verimiz yok.

Bir bağlantı yöntemi olan Nearby Connections, cihazınızda çalışan Google Play hizmetleri tarafından sağlanır; uygulamanın kendisi Google'a hiçbir şey göndermez.

7. Saklama ve verilerinizi silme

Kontrol sizde: konuşmaları uygulama içinden silebilir veya uygulamayı kaldırarak sakladığı her şeyi (sohbet geçmişi, ayarlar, özel depolamadaki dosyalar) kaldırabilirsiniz. Bize hiçbir şey ulaşmadığı için silinecek bir sunucu kopyası veya yapılacak bir veri silme başvurusu yoktur.

8. Güvenlik

Mesajlarınız bağlı cihazlar arasında doğrudan iletilir ve hiçbir zaman bir sunucudan geçmez. Cihazınızı güvende tutun, yalnızca güvendiğiniz cihazlara bağlanın ve gönderdiğiniz her şeyin karşı cihazın sahibi tarafından görülebileceğini unutmayın.

9. Çocuklar

ChatBlue 13 yaşından küçük çocuklara yönelik değildir. Uygulama hiç veri toplamadığı için, çocuklar dahil hiç kimseden bilerek bilgi toplamayız.

10. Bu politikadaki değişiklikler

Uygulama geliştikçe bu politikayı güncelleyebiliriz. Güncel sürüm her zaman bu adreste ve yukarıdaki “son güncelleme” tarihiyle yayındadır; önemli değişiklikler uygulamanın sürüm notlarında belirtilir.
